    1991 - Consulting Practice Established

    Consulting practice established to support companies with employee ownership

    1991 - Stanford Contract

    Contract signed with Stanford University to support defense conversion and privatization through employee ownership in the former Soviet defense enterprise

    1991 - Washington, DC Office

    Washington D.C. office opened

    1994 - First FED Web Site

    Presence established on the World Wide Web with www.fed.org

    1997 - Stan Lundine, Executive Director

    Stan Lundine appointed executive director

    1998 - Multi-Day Conference Established

    Began annual multi-day conference established for employee owned companies

    2000 - Beyster Institute Created

    The Beyster Institute created and branded in FED

    2000 - Ray Smilor, Executive Director

    Ray Smilor appointed executive director

    2001 - Joint NCEO Conference

    Joined with NCEO for annual multi-day conference for employee owned companies

    2003 - Annual Conference Begins

    Annual conference begun, jointly run by Beyster Institute and National Center for Employee Ownership (NCEO)

    2003 - Moscow Center Establishment

    Contract signed to establish U.S. Center for Entrepreneurship in Moscow, Russia

    2004 - FED Reconstituted

    FED reconstituted with new IRS charter as independent 501(c)(3) organization

    2004 - MEET Program Contract with US State Department

    Contract signed with U.S. State Department to manage Middle East Entrepreneurship Training (MEET) program for young entrepreneurs from 16 countries in the Middle East

    2004 - Beyster Institute Transitions to UCSD/Rady School

    Beyster Institute transitioned to be part of University of California San Diego (UCSD)/Rady School

    2005 - MOBIS Established

    Mission Oriented Business Integrated Services (MOBIS) contract vehicle established

    2005 - Mary Ann Beyster, President

    2006 - DARPA Grant Received

    Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) grant received for SBIR/STTR Technology Transition Assistance

    2007 - "The SAIC Solution" Published

    2008 - First Fellowships Established

    First fellowships established at Carnegie Mellon, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan, Rutgers, San Diego State University (SDSU), Stanford, UCSD and University of San Diego (USD)

    2008 - Beyster Fellowships and Education Grant Established

    Beyster Fellowships and Education grant program established

    2008 - Curriculum Library on Employee Ownership

    Curriculum Library on Employee Ownership launched with Aspen Institute and Employee Ownership Foundation (EOF)

    2009 - First Beyster Fellowship Symposium
