Beyster Professorship of Employee Ownership

Rutgers“World's First” Professorship in Employee Ownership Endowed

The J. Robert Beyster Professorship of Employee Ownership is Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations' first endowed professorship. According to Rutgers, it is the first named chair in employee ownership (EO) established anywhere, as far as can be determined. Dr. Beyster's goal for this endowment is "to establish Rutgers as a central node for the network of EO researchers and practitioners across the U.S." Rutgers has a long track record of leadership in EO and demonstrated commitment to closely related fields of human resources, labor management, accounting, and corporate governance. Selection of the first J. Robert Beyster Professor, appointed for a renewable five-year term, will begin in the fall of 2010.
