Consulting

The FED serves fast-growing companies by providing advisory and consulting services leveraging the FED's special capabilities to stimulate science and technology innovation and lead knowledge-intensive enterprises. We have worked with a number of early stage and growth companies in a range of science and technology areas to help them identify dual use (government and commercial) applications, secure funding sources, prepare their companies for growth, and help maintain the control/ownership with those who grow the company.

FED services include:

  • Advising senior management teams on how to build a high-growth enterprise by leveraging the insights, principles and practices of former executives from SAIC and other leading research and engineering firms. FED consultants support senior managers by assessing a company's business processes and management approach and providing recommendations for building a sustainable knowledge-based enterprise.
  • Mentoring of small science and technology (S&T) businesses through their commercialization and transition challenges in the U.S. government marketplace. Working one-on-one with companies, we help management overcome barriers and make connections with end-user markets, capital markets, strategic partners, and management-talent pools.
  • Consulting on the requirements-driven product offerings, service and product development, and transition planning for dual use (government and commercial) applications.
