Mary Ann Beyster featured as keynote speaker at recent TEDCO event
Mary Ann Beyster, President of FED, was the keynote luncheon speaker at the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) SBIR Conference held on March 8, 2008, at the University of Maryland, University College Conference Center. This one-day event supports Maryland's small businesses that are familiar with the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) lifecycle to provide a deeper understanding of the selection process and alternative gap funding resources.
Mary Ann spoke about three key principles -- ethic of entrepreneurship, systems of participation, and culture of passion for growing technology-based business -- and shared lessons learned from FED's experience about moving beyond SBIR funding from DARPA and DoD.
