Beyster Scholars - Left Pane

Beyster Scholars

The FED, with the support of The Beyster Institute, sponsors an entrepreneurship scholars program as an extension of the Experiential Classroom at Oklahoma State University. The scholars are selected to incorporate employee ownership curricular materials into their courses and provide feedback on their effectiveness.

2008-2009 Beyster Scholars

Professor Natasa Christodoulidou, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH)

Professor Christodoulidou is adapting Beyster Institute materials for use in her elective MBA-level course titled “Women and Minorities in Entrepreneurship,” and is developing a new employee ownership elective course for the MBA program at CSUDH.

Professor James Ondracek, Minot State University, Minot, North Dakota

Professor Ondracek is integrating Beyster Institute materials into his strategic management courses for both graduate and undergraduate students. He is weaving employee ownership into the governance track of both courses and will also be using our case studies as teaching tools.

Professor Frank Ridzi, Le Moyne College, Syracuse, New York

Professor Ridzi is using Beyster Institute materials in a social policy and analysis course, an interdisciplinary course for students of sociology, political science, and economics. The course appeals to students interested in both for-profit and non-profit applications.

Professor Robert Statchen, Western New England College Schools of Law and Business, Springfield, Massachusetts.

Professor Statchen is using Beyster Institute materials in a business clinic setting sponsored jointly by the School of Law and the School of Business at Western New England College. Our materials will be used in the classroom portion of the course, during which students develop skills needed to guide and advise entrepreneurs on creating and developing successful businesses. The practicum portion of the course allows those same students to use their skills in interactions with startup companies.

Promoting Education

The FED strives to increase awareness of ownership and participative management principles among students, entrepreneurs, and business leaders through educational curricula.
