Written Guidance

The FED has developed various tools that include resource lists of informational web links; success reports used for marketing; and a video about how small business can work with DARPA to develop and transition innovative technology. These tools are specifically targeted for small technology-based companies who are:

  • Currently funded by the federal government to perform research and development and other types of technology focused services
  • Currently selling products to the government
  • Currently interested in entering the federal marketplace

How have small businesses successfully marketed and transitioned their technologies, especially to the government market?

What are some of the best resources on commercialization, technical project management, and business planning for entrepreneurs?

What are some of the best resources on how a small business could enter or expand in the federal market?

How can industry-university collaborations/partnerships help win federal funding?

Based on our experience and current programs, we are creating multimedia guidance materials—a video and guide—to help prepare companies for planning and implementation of research and technology-based strategies. If you have ideas of what you’d like to see, let us know via email at inquire@fed.org.
