Dr. Beyster featured at the L. Robert Payne Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Series

On September 26, 2007, a panel consisting of Dr. J. Robert Beyster (Founder of SAIC), Tom Darcy (former CFO of SAIC, Trustee for FED) and Dr. Gangaram Singh (Chair, San Diego State University, Department of Management) was featured at the L. Robert Payne Distinguished Entrepreneur Lecture Series. The presentation and reception that followed was held at the Aztec Athletic Center Auditorium at San Diego State University. The event was attended by students, professors, SDSU alumni and associates of the Entrepreneurial Management Center.

Introductions and opening remarks were made by Dr. Sanford Ehrlich, Entrepreneurial Management Center, Dr. Gail Naughton, SDSU, and L. Robert Payne. After remarks from Dr. Beyster. Dr. Singh moderated a panel discussion about “Unlocking the Power of Ownership”, exploring the many facets of employee ownership gleaned from Dr. Beyster’s book, The SAIC Solution, How We Built an $8 Billion Employee-Owned Technology Company. After a question and answer segment, a short reception was held in the foyer.
